Compliance Officer – France (m/f/d)

Paris
Full-time
Permanent employee
50,000 - 60,000 € per year

About The Role

We are looking for a Compliance Officer to drive financial crime compliance for our French branch. You will own suspicious activity reporting to Tracfin, act as the local point of reference for AML/CFT matters, and work hand in hand with our FinCrime Operations team on investigations, escalations and quality while closely working with Group Compliance with regulatory matters.

Your Mission

Suspicious activity reporting

  • Review cases escalated by FinCrime Operations, decide whether a déclaration de soupçon is required, and keep an auditable record of every decision, including non-filings.
  • Draft, quality-check and file SARs with Tracfin via ERMES within regulatory timelines, and handle droit de communication requests and follow-ups.
  • Act as déclarant and correspondant Tracfin for the branch, once designated.

Supporting FinCrime Operations

  • Be the escalation point for complex cases involving French customers or French-specific typologies, and help raise the bar on investigation quality and case narratives.
  • Contribute to transaction monitoring tuning, alert typologies and red-flag guidance for the French market.
  • Support asset-freeze and sanctions escalations under the French national regime (DG Trésor).

Local compliance framework

  • Make sure group AML/CFT policies meet French requirements (Code monétaire et financier, ACPR guidance) and flag gaps.
  • Contribute to the French branch risk assessment and annual regulatory reporting, including the ACPR AML/CFT questionnaire.
  • Track French regulatory changes and AMLA/AMLR developments, explain their operational impact, and train local staff and analysts on French specifics.

Regulatory relationship

  • Prepare for and progressively lead exchanges with the ACPR and Tracfin, including inspections, information requests and remediation.
  • Report key metrics and risks to the Head of FinCrime Operations and Group Compliance.

Your Profile

  • 3+ years in product management, including meaningful experience applying LLM / agentic AI to digital products.
  • Experience in B2B/B2C fintech or another regulated digital product.
  • Proven ownership of client-facing platforms (mobile and/or web) from discovery through delivery.
  • Strong grasp of UX and customer-journey design; able to reduce friction in complex flows.
  • Fluent in product analytics; comfortable defining metrics and making data-driven decisions.
  • Skilled in both qualitative and quantitative research (interviews, usability testing, experimentation).
  • Track record of shipping with Design and Engineering in an agile environment.
  • Experience with automation, AI, or workflow / CRM platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management across technical and non-technical functions.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with regulated customer journeys (for example KYC/AML or similar).
  • Exposure to product-led growth and adoption strategies.
  • Experience serving SME / SMB customers alongside consumer segments.

About Vivid

At Vivid, we're on a mission to change how businesses and individuals manage their money across Europe. For businesses, we build tools that actually make a difference: multi-IBAN accounts, high-yield savings, business cashback, team cards, and accounting integrations that save real time — all in one place. And for individuals, we offer a simple way to manage and grow your wealth: access to global stocks, ETFs and 150+ cryptocurrencies, cashback, and personalised financial insights.

Our mission? Your success. Everyone deserves the chance to see their finances flourish, and we're dedicated to empowering our customers to make this a reality.

Founded in 2019 in Berlin by Alexander Emeshev and Artem Iamanov, Vivid has quickly grown into one of Germany's top financial platforms for SMEs and private accounts. Since then, we've expanded rapidly across Europe, earning the trust of over 500,000 customers — and with over €200 million raised and a valuation of €775 million, we're just getting started.

We're building Vivid as an AI-native organization — across every function, from product to compliance to operations. Automation handles a growing share of day-to-day execution. For us, this means our teams can focus on architecture, strategy, and high-impact decision-making. This changes how we work: less manual execution, more ownership in building systems that scale. We want to help define what AI-native looks like in a regulated financial environment — and we're looking for people who want to build that future with us.
