About The Role

We are seeking a Payment Officer to join our team and take ownership of key operational processes related to payment handling and reconciliation. This role is ideal for a senior-level professional with leadership potential, strong problem-solving abilities, and experience in banking or international payments.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for managing SWIFT operations, handling unrecognized payments, tracing lost transactions, and working with correspondent banking partners. You will also have the opportunity to lead team members and improve operational efficiencies.
Your Mission
  • Handle unrecognized payments and ensure proper reconciliation.
  • Trace lost transactions and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Manage SWIFT operations and maintain compliance with banking standards.
  • Work with correspondent banking to facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Lead team members from the start, providing training and mentorship.
  • Monitor and improve case resolution SLAs and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Finance and Customer Care, to improve processes.
  • Take ownership of payment-related escalations and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Work closely with banking partners and internal stakeholders to optimize payment workflows.
Your Profile
  • Experience: Senior-level background in payment operations.
  • Industry Background: experience in banking or international payments.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, ability to train and mentor junior team members.
  • Languages: Fluent in English.
  • Location: Preferably based in Cyprus.
